Danganronpa 3: The Mystery Maze Zetsubō-hen 「Zettai Zetsumei Zetsubō Kibō Royal」 (ダンガンロンパ3　THE MYSTERY MAZE　絶望編「絶対絶命絶望希望ロワイヤル」) was an escape room event based on Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School, produced by Yomiuri TV Enterprise in collaboration with Spike Chunsoft. The event ran in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, Japan on several dates between September 17, 2016 and November 27th, 2016. The event was reprised the following year by Nazotomo Cafe in Shibuya from March 31st to April 16th, 2017.

Plot[]

The player takes on the role of a new Reserve Course student at Hope's Peak High School. The player is invited somewhere by someone who turns out to be Monokuma and forced to take a final exam - solving puzzles to escape. If they fail, they're told there will be a massacre. Will you be able to make it out of this game alive?

Event Details[]

The event was ticketed with a limited number of tickets available, with many performances sold out ahead of the event. Tickets sold for ¥3,240 if pre-ordered or ¥3,700 on the door. Participants worked together in a team of six (either bringing friends or with other strangers in attendance) and had to solve puzzles and riddles within the time limit. The event involved video presentations featuring the voices of Hajime Hinata (Minami Takayama), Junko Enoshima (Megumi Toyoguchi) and Monokuma (TARAKO).
