Voice actors, known in Japan as character voices (abbreviated to CV), are people who record their voices to represent a character. Danganronpa has a full Japanese cast of voice actors for all console games and anime adaptations, and many entries in the franchise have also been dubbed into English. Additionally, the franchise includes a German dub of the anime series Danganronpa: The Animation.

Typically, Danganronpa games include partial voice acting throughout, appearing as a short clip for each box of dialogue, accompanied by a sprite with a matching emotion. Class Trials, however, tend to be fully voiced, as are some key scenes within the main storyline.
